I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia. My academic journey has been rich and diverse, beginning with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting and a B.S. in Mathematics from The Ohio State University, followed by a Master's in Applied Statistics from Cornell University, culminating in a Ph.D. from Emory University in 2017.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I engage in a range of hobbies that not only enrich my life but have also played a pivotal role in my recovery and personal growth. After a severe car accident that significantly impacted my mental and physical health, I turned to activities like yoga, meditation, hiking and snowboarding. These pursuits were not just hobbies but became vital components of my recovery process, offering unique outlets for creativity, personal expression, and the regaining of my physical strength. From hip-hop dancing to the intricate details of metal artwork, each hobby has contributed to my resilience, providing a wellspring of inspiration and balance that enhances my professional focus and clarity.

I am dedicated to advancing the field of accounting through rigorous research, innovative teaching methods, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive academic community.
